Page orientation is described by two printing terms: portrait and landscape. A portrait page looks like this: ![]() A landscape page looks like this: ![]() Although the majority of our documents are written in portrait orientation, occasionally you may want part of a document to be in landscape orientation. This usually happens when you need to present a wide table or add a wide drawing, flowchart, etc., to a document. |

To change the page orientation of a section:

| Changing page Orientation in the Middle of a Document |
Whenever you want to change the page orientation in the middle of a document, you can save time by isolating the section from those above and below it before you change the page orientation. To change the page orientation in the middle of a document:
This will change the orientation of the section you have just created to landscape, but won't affect the page orientation of the sections before and after it. They will remain in portrait orientation. |
