About Mauri Ora
Mauri Ora is a unique, 12-month, distance-learning programme that provides students with an understanding of Maori culture, including cultural identity, history and colonisation.

Mauri Ora provides students with:

  • an understanding of basic tikanga and kaupapa Maori
  • an opportunity to explore the history and geography of Maori
  • information about the history and relevance of the Treaty of Waitangi
