About LifeWorks
LifeWorks
is a free, life-education programme delivered by The Open Polytechnic
of New Zealand. The LifeWorks programme is based on the hugely successful
Mahi Ora programme (see other projects by Scribe Limited) and has now
attracted over 20,000 students.
LifeWorks invites
students to take a fresh look at their lives, including their jobs,
their health, finances, relationships and educational choices. The programme
is delivered over a 12-month period in the form of six kits of learning
materials. Each kit contains DVDs, CDs, books, and other useful life-development
resources. These resources help students make choices about their lives
and their futures.
Each LifeWorks student
is assigned a coach who supports the student during his or her learning
on the programme. LifeWorks Coaches also deliver the programme assessment.
Our Involvement
Scribe
Limited was involved in the initial brainstorming sessions for the LifeWorks
programme. From these session, Scribe Limited created project briefs
and tables of contents for each of the books. Our writers then worked
within budget to write and edit the books. Our writers also proofed
the books after lay-up by a graphic artist.
Towards the end
of the creation of the LifeWorks programme, Scribe Limited was awarded
the contract to direct the Life After LifeWorks video; the final video
in the programme. More
recently, Scribe Limited has been involved in direction of the review
of the Introduction to LifeWorks video.

Created by Scribe Limited
Scribe Limited produced
the majority of the written resources for the LifeWorks programme. Each
resource is printed at a rate of between 12,000 and 14,000 copies per
